1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RefineCV at refine-cv.com and app.refine-cv.com ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

RefineCV is an AI-powered CV formatting platform for recruitment agencies. The Service parses uploaded resumes, extracts structured data, and generates branded PDF documents using configurable templates.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not:

• Upload content that violates any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to access, probe, or test the vulnerability of the Service
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service
• Resell or redistribute the Service without our written consent
• Upload malicious files or content designed to harm the Service

5. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You represent that you have the necessary rights and consents to upload candidate CVs for formatting, and that your use complies with applicable data protection laws.

6. Pricing and Payment

RefineCV offers free credits (10 CVs per agency) and paid plans. Pricing is displayed on our pricing page. We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscriptions are honored at the agreed rate until renewal.

7. Free Credits

Each agency receives 10 free CV formats upon registration. Free credits do not expire and cannot be transferred. Free credits have no cash value.

8. Subscription Terms

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by RefineCV. You retain ownership of all content you upload and all formatted outputs generated from your content.

10. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance with reasonable advance notice. We are not liable for losses resulting from service interruptions.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RefineCV shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RefineCV from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
